Nicholas Winton’s Lottery of Life - Press Release
As part of the “Nicholas Winton Educational Project” AFoCR announces the immediate availability of the first English language edition of “Nicholas Winton’s Lottery of Life”. This 320 page book, originally published in Czech for use in schools in the Czech Republic, where it is distributed free of charge to students in Czech high schools, colleges, universities and other educational institutions. A German language edition, for use in German speaking countries, was also published several years ago.
The books will be donated by “AFoCR” to pre-approved educational entities nationwide free of charge, except the cost of shipping and handling cost. “AFoCR” is now ready to accept orders from U.S. educational institutions and libraries. Recipients need only submit a donation request and agreement form that confirms that the books will not be sold and that their use will be for the sole purpose of education in the areas of history, political science and Holocaust education. “AFoCR” will consider schools, colleges, universities, churches and synagogues to become approved recipients for the donated books. “AFoCR” reserves the right to limit quantities shipped to any given approved recipient institution in order to ensure nationwide reach.
